Destiny 2 wants to save Transmog, but forgets an old problem
Destiny 2 saves keepers who want to look good, soon 150 hours. Transmog came into play with a lot of negative energy, but even after the planned fix there is still a big problem and that is not really new.
When Destiny 2 finally got Transmog in May 2021, the guardian wanted to cheer. But the fashion feature caused criticism and was worse than feared. The team of Franchise Director Luke Smith (cover picture) wants to smooth the waves now and defuses the corrosive grind, which lies between the players and their good appearance.
This is new: bungie removed the resource "synthetic thread" with the beginning of Season 15. From August 24, 2021, it skips the most elaborate process in arms synthesis, then the transmog system is called in Destiny 2.
- At the moment you need 150 synthetic threads to buy a prey train at ADA, which then needs for the actual transmog process.
- Such a synthetic thread is TimeGatet, it drops in the game only about every 2 minutes, no matter what activity you play.
- So you get to a grind of about 5 hours for the 150 synthetic threads - without the task of the prey or the messengers to be calculated to ADA and back.
- If you want to really express the Transmog Limit Pro Season, this is about 150 hours, only for the threads required.
Soon you can just buy a Transmog prey train at ADA. The prey train costs 10,000 mica, which is not the world. Then do the task and converts a armor.
What is Transmog? Behind Transmogrification (Brief Transmog) is a system that is optically changed in which armor and clothes are changed. Equipment can be obtained from other played items. Useful is Transmog if the new armor has stronger or a higher level, but does not affect one of the appearance. So players can walk around, as they like, but do not have to do without the power of new items.
That's the reaction: Players had wanted the change. The players even want them to come in the game now and not only at the end of August, as planned.
But there is also a big problem with Transmog and really new after the changes.
Bungie saves the keepers 150 hours per season, but they have other worries
These problems at Transmog are now greater: Even before Transmog came into the game, guarded guarded guarded over the cosmetic feature. These criticisms could stand even more strongly from August:
- Artificial limits: Only 10 Transmog transformations can be played per character and season. That means no matter how diligent you are, you can not get all the looks. After 10 Transmog privileges per character, a Season Lang (3 months) is over.
- Too expensive: The border can be done by the Everseversum, the real money shop of Destiny 2. If you pay bungie 1,000 silver (about 10 €) per set, you can continue to transmish it.
- To have all over 4,000 legendary armor looks for Transmog, you would need silver. What an estimated 30 years of playing time or 6,000-12,000 will cost (via Twitter).
These criticisms weighed so far in practice so far as the grind could not transminate so often. Since Season 15 no longer has to grind 150 hours of synthetic to come to the limit with all 3 characters, but then shows what hardly anyone has got to feel so far: namely that you do not convert so many clothes with the new system Can, as you want and suddenly runs against a (payment) wall.
How expensive is Transmog? You come from Season 15 then much faster to the point where only one investment of silver makes an even chic. To have all over 4,000 legendary armor looks for Transmog, you would need silver. What an estimated 30 years of playing time or 6,000-12,000 will cost (via Twitter).
Of course, it is utopian to transform all armor and probably no guardian really needs every set. Many have their pair of favorite looks. Even if the changes per se is desired, it does not change the big evereller problem for many.
Like the Eversever the soul of Destiny 2 cut: the Loot
Bungie himself now says: "We will continue to observe how the reactions are on the arms synthesis and how often it is used when season 15 starts" (via TWAB). So it is well possible for the artificial limit to change in the future.
However, consider how long the cosmetic shaders were unique items - more than 3 years - could be there a few Seasons in the country.

How do you see the situation around Transmog, now after you call almost a season with it. Do you understand the criticism just too well or you are looking forward to that Bungie changes something at all? What do you expect from he still nameless Season 15, which starts in a month? It tells us in the comments.
