StarBase: Space Kit MMO starts in the Early Access
StarBase of Frozenbyte (Trine series) has been published in the Early Access on Steam. The ambitious space construction kit with MMO substructure costs 32.99 euros (10% Launch discount) and should stay in the Early Access for more than two years. The game is currently only available in English.
The price is commented so from the developers: _ "We assume that StarBase can eventually measure with AAA games. In the early access, however, there are still too many functions and there are too many errors to include an AAA Pricing. Under certain circumstances, we will occasionally adapt the pricing in the Early Access, if we feel that new functions, more stability, playable content and the general gaming experience justify a higher price. The same applies to the price of the final version. _
The status of the current version: _ "StarBase is clearly still in the alpha. Many planned functions are not yet in the game and many of the gameplay loops are still missing or are currently in active development. Since StarBase is an MMO, we expect Thousands players who play together in the same universe. In addition, it is a highly detailed and destructible voxel / vertex hybrids that aims at gameplay that you rarely see. All this is extremely ambitious and without comprehensive testing and work with real players difficult to get smoothly grew smoothly. (...) In the Early Access, the players can develop spaceships, build and modify, explore the universe, make social contacts and make money by reducing resources, collecting, producing and selling. The players Can begin with the construction of your own stations and explore and create the StarBase Universe. "_
StarBase will be described as MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online Game) focused on building and designing spaceships and room stations, exploration, resource procurement, crafting, trade and fight. The planned sandbox mode in which you are traveling alone or with selected friends in a separate universe is not available for the early access start.
Updates should appear at regular intervals. With the August updates, moon bases and mining as well as the huge major fighting ships are introduced, while the September update will introduce the siege mechanics.
