Apart from solid release dates, we look forward to MMOS, which reveal more of yourself this year. These can be alpha, betas or even early access starts:

  • Ashes of Creation, an MMORPG focused on urban planning and the fight. The Alpha should start in the spring.
  • Blue Protocol, a MMORPG from Japan, which should appear worldwide
  • Camelot Unchained, the MMORPG with strong PVP focus.

MeinmMo assessment: 2021 becomes a great year for MMORPG fans

Who speaks here? Alexander Leitsch is an editor and MMORPG expert at Meinmmo. On 2021 he is particularly pleased because 2020 are so little new and exciting MMORPGs as never before appeared before. But that could be better in 2021.

How is 2021? The new year starts more comfortably. In January, the MMORPG Wild Terra 2 starts, which I have already played in the beta before. This is a survival game in which PVP takes an important role. For PVP muffels, of which we have some in the community, the game should be rather uninteresting.

In addition, SkyForge is coming out for the Nintendo Switch in February. The MMORPG is already older (Release 2015), but convinces with action-rich fighting on the console. Since there is a few titles of this genre on the switch, worth seeing.

In August, Bless Unleashed should appear for the PC. This MMORPG relies on many field bosses, an action-packed combat system and, above all, a lot of grind. I also played Bless Unleashed in the beta and was just a little done. It plays better than Bless Online, but offers few highlights and innovations.

But fans of MMOS should not be fooled by this quiet start. 2021 has some highlights in the hindquarters, including 3 AAA MMORPGs, which will definitely seem to appear this year:

  • Swords of Legends
  • New World
  • Lost Ark

Crimson Desert has also announced his release for winter 2021. Here is not clear how multiplayer-rich the Open World Game is really. The beta from Korea, which should still start in the first half of 2021, will show that.

Add to that Elyon, the new MMORPG of the Tera-makers, and probably also crowfall, which started 2020 with his open beta and actually wanted to celebrate the release.

If you prefer to put on its old MMORPGS, will not be disappointed as well: This year, there are expected great extensions for ESO, Final Fantasy XIV and Guild Wars 2. End of Dragons, the extension to GW2, has already been confirmed for 2021.

Anyone who can do nothing with classic MMORPGs also finds a number of new shooters to appear 2021. A big highlight will probably be battlefield 6 end of the year. In addition, we should probably expect a new Call of Duty. For Loot Shooter fans, with Outriderers, there is a completely new title. This should be something for each player type 2021, unless it comes to shifts.

How do you see the year 2021? Which games do you enjoy happy? Let us know!
