The largest Western MMORPG is currently struggling with problems

In the week from 16 to 22 August there were many discussions about the largest Western MMORPG World of Warcraft. In addition, we have introduced 4 new MMORPGs to appear in the coming months. We from Meinmmo summarize all the important news of the week here.

The highlight of the week : This week, a lot turned around Wow, the subscription numbers and the entry. The MMORPG did not go well:

  • Youtuber Bellular explains: Wow has less than 2 million active players
  • Newcomers have no chance to understand the story of WOW
  • MeinMMO editor Benedict Grotaus says in his column: WOW dies straight for me - but unfortunately too slow

For some weeks, we also have reported that some large streamer and Youtuber from WOW are moved to Final Fantasy XIV.

ESO is just free, Bless Unleashed starts successfully on Steam

That happened to the big MMORPGS this week:

  • In addition to the problems with WOW, however, there was good news. With patch 9.1.5 come some features that the players wanted to urgently want.
  • The Elder Scrolls Online publishes the new DLC Waking Flame next week. Until 30th of August you can play the MMORPG for free.
  • In Guild Wars 2, the first elite specializations from the upcoming extension end of Dragons can currently be tested. So far, only 3 of them should be known. However, details about the other specializations have now been found via DataMining.
  • In Final Fantasy XIV, the event The Rising will take place from 27 August to 9 September (via FFXIV).

That happened to the smaller MMORPGS :

  • Bless Unleashed appeared on Steam on August 6th. There it came to more than 76,000 players in the Peak and is still very popular two weeks after release.
  • Lost Ark has released a new class in Korea and broke the previous player's recorder.
  • Swords of Legends online is looking for testers for upcoming content, but we find the offer quite three.
  • On 15 August, the new Free2Play MMORPG Ecila appeared on Steam.

This happened in the MMORPGS in development:

  • Elyon has just started the second closed beta. At Meinmmo you can currently win beta-keys.
  • A new browser MMORPG promises you to make money with the game.
  • The new MMORPG Reign of Guilds offers slaughter with 150 players - and you will become saint.
  • Rise is reminiscent of a mix of the Witcher and Kingdom Come and wants to start soon with the first beta tests.
  • Mortal Online 2, a PVP MMORPG, starts in October in the Early Access on Steam.
  • Pantheon: Rise Iof The Fallen has given an insight into the development steps before the start of the Alpha (via PantheonMo).
