Battlefield 2042 Review - The future is now, old man

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Gameplay Details Charles M. Sea was a supervisor, scriptwriter as well as film actor of American nationality, active at the time of mute cinema. There are no hardly data on the cinematographic task of Charles M. Sea, although it is recognized that he worked for Edison Firm in the 1910 years.

After a long visit in the past, Battlefield is finally back to modern combat with Battlefield 2042. Well, fighting technically close to the future, but you see what I mean. Mixing light science fiction without getting involved with shooting game concepts we know well, the game manages to find an impressive balance between interesting and comfortable. In fact, I think it s a good way to summarize BF 2042 in its entirety.

The game nails all the details that make Battlefield a beloved franchise. However, in addition to that, it does new and interesting things that could provide a good reason for new players to start and try it for the first time. For example, Hazard Zone has an incredible potential and I think it solves most of the problems that people who do not appreciate the franchise could have with.

The premise of 2042 is actually quite cool. In the near future, the world is devastated by catastrophic climatic disasters, and everything collapses when a true scientific concept called Kessler s syndrome is triggered. This event refers to the possibility that by polluting our space too much with debris and satellites, there is a growing chance that it can cause a crash chain reaction between objects in space.

In the game, Kessler s syndrome triggers a global blackout. With tensions already high because of the quasi-apocalyptic conditions, nations are beginning to make the war for the last safe ports that remain in the world.

2042 uses the framework of many brilliant ways. One of the most recent additions is that of specialists, who replace the traditional Battlefield class system. Rather than belonging to a nation, these climate refugees who have been torn from their homes of origin have formed their own loose organization called non-patriages or non-Pats, struggling for the camp with which they agree.

Following many modern popular FPS, these named characters have special capabilities that allow them to approach the fight differently. You can choose a specialist with a lank grapple or a winged combination for mobility, and if it s not your style, you can opt for a barricade or mobile shield for the defense. None of the characters are limited to a specific set of weapons or basic tools, which means that you can change your equipment to answer exactly to the needs of your team. But of course, the capabilities of some specialists will move towards a specific style of play.

At first, I found a little curtain that characters replace classes in a BF title, but once you overcome the small change in the tradition, they feel perfect to play. Their capacities have an impact but nothing revolutionary, and you will always need to play classes by creating specific loads. Do not worry, he did not turn into a hero shooting game. It s always Battlefield in the end, where your ability to shoot and play goals is the most important thing.

To come back to the scenery, the climate catastrophe has also caused erratic weather models. Things such as hurricanes who ravage the battle are not uncommon, and playing with these dangers offers a new dimension to the strategy. And yes, you can ride the hurricane with your parachute or your wing suit, you could die by trying, but it s super cool when it works.

So, I have to tell you, I think I m playing only Hazard mode the first days when the game launches. It is so good. Okay, before advancing me, let me tell you what it is. So you remember Kessler s syndrome? Thus, many of these satellites that crash into space descend on the surface of the earth by carrying all juicy data. Whether it is important climate information, national secrets or unrivaled technologies, someone is willing to pay a lot of money for that. Your goal is to seize as much as you can and extract with your life.

Playing in a team of maximum four members, the Hazard mode focuses on tight teamwork. Unlike the total chaos that Battlefield 120 men (which is still in the game in all its splendor), the Hazard mode is a controlled chaos with high issues.

The most comparable game is Escape from Markov, I would say. Just like in this game, if you have money from previous incursions into the danger zone, you can buy weapons and more powerful tools to increase your chances. If you die, you lose everything you took there. But still, many things are radically different from Markov.

For example, you only have two chances of extracting when the airship comes to pick you up. To make it even more exciting, it is also the exit ticket from everyone. You better believe that these extraction points will be warmer than hell. The fact is that sometimes the fight is so fierce that no one will reach the plane living when he leaves, so a winner is never guaranteed. And I think it s great. It s full strategy, issues, treasury hunting and resource management. This mode has so much potential and I really hope that Dice will continue to support it.

The cherry on the cake of this game is the portal mode, where users can create their own custom game modes using updated resources from 1942, Bad Company 2, BF 3 and 2042. Yes, you can play Directly in Bad Company 2 Rush with the update the graphics and the engine, which just reminded me how much I loved this game.

Of course, it would not be a custom game mode without the possibility of doing something really wacky. So they put in place a simplified coding tool to achieve your craziest BF dreams. As a rocket mode only where you have to skip five times to recharge. However, it seems to have some limitations, and as far as I have seen, there was no card editor, for example. I think the proof will be in the pudding, and we will have to see if the system is robust enough to create something really memorable. I am really interested to see what kind of things go crazy the community can propose.

Battlefield 2042 is not without faults, however. I think the lack of solo can be a big disadvantage for people, especially if you like to play shooters with casualness. A multiplayer experience only with a complete Triple A prize is not unknown, but I would not blame you if it had rebounded you. For me, it s a bit more upsetting this time because of the interest of the premise.

As for all shooters, some cards are hard to play. Open cards with jets are often devolved to the team with the best winning drivers, and this is not the best feeling when part of 120 players is decided by only a handful of people. Another thing I did not like is that you can change your weapons accessories anywhere in mid-life. This means that you can pass anti-infantry shells with anti-hardware, or from the remote range at the close, or bi-pod for a grenade launcher whenever the situation adapts. Although it s nice and practical, I personally thought that it removed some of the interesting strategies that have been put in place to prepare a perfect load.

Overall, it s minor points for one of the best battlefields we have had for a while. This has certainly revived my enthusiasm for the series. With new modes like Hazard Zone and the possibility of playing old games like Bad Company 2 remaster, the game is full of content, even without solo. If you are thinking of diving in BF, whether it s your return or a first in the series, Battlefield 2042 could be exactly what you were looking for.
