Schröder and Paulini: The Torgarants of the Eimsbütteler TV

After the two professional clubs Hamburger SV and FC St. Pauli, the Eimsbütteler TV is the third largest sports club in the Hanseatic city. The football department alone sends no less than 56 teams - from the old men to the F -Juniors. The current sporting successes are also impressive. The U 19 kicks first class in the North/Northeast of the A-Junior Bundesliga. The first men's team made the championship in the Landesliga and the promotion to the Oberliga Hamburg perfect weeks ago. The women's team mixes at the top as second in the league in the top league and could make the leap into the Regionalliga Nord.

However, two special personal awards for the ETV could also come to championships and ascents this season. For example, top scorer Hannah Paulini has been leading the nationwide rating to the "Torjägerkanone ™ for everyone" in the 4th league for a few months, only this week laced up in the 19-0 victory against Harburger TB and is thus coming up after 19 appearances 45 hits. Her lead over the first chase Caroline Klausch (Borussia Pankow) is 15 goals.

Since I have been relatively far ahead, I have been asked about it more often

Theo Schröder knew nothing about "The Torjägerkanone ™ for everyone" until recently

The 6th league of men is closer. But here too, Theo Schröder (31 goals after 17 games), a goal -hungry striker of the Eimsbüttel TV. "Until a few weeks ago I didn't even know that there are now also goal scorer cannons in amateur football," says the only 20 -year -old attacker in conversation with Fussball.de - and adds with a grin: "Since I lying relatively far ahead, However, I am asked about it more often. That is a cool thing. "

a career with hand and foot

Davos Annual Meeting 2005 - Gerhard Schröder Theo Schröder comes from Glückstadt in the south of Schleswig-Holstein, about 45 minutes by car from Hamburg. There he also took his first steps in football at VfB and ETSV Fortuna Glückstadt before the stations at Kummerfelder SV and finally followed the Eimsbüttel TV.

At the same time, the versatile athlete also played handball at his home club MTV Herzhorn, and was also extremely dangerous there as an outside player. "At some point I had to choose a sport-and that was clearly football. I can just do that better," says the sports management student, who is currently in the second semester and is striving for a bachelor's degree. "I would very much like to stay in the sports area later," he emphasizes: "This is just my life."

football in the genes

He gets support from the entire family. "My parents take a lot of time to support me, are almost always at our games," says Theo Schröder. His older brother Jonas (22), who also studies sports management, is already successful outside of the square in football. In Münster he trains the U 15 of the Association League Westfalia Kinderhaus and is still undefeated with the team in the performance league (district league A). At the same time, Jonas Schröder also works as a team manager at the U 16 of the traditional club SC Prussia Münster.

In the younger Theo, on the other hand, the focus is clearly on the active career, which should lead up even further. Since he was on goals for the Eimsbüttel TV, things have been going on: only two regional league north-game times with the U 17 and U 19, then one-even if because of the Corona pandemic only very short-season with the ETV youngsters in the Season North/Northeast of the A-Junior Bundesliga. There it went against Hertha BSC, Hannover 96 and the city rival FC St. Pauli, among other things, before the term of the season prevented regular play.

five triple packs in one season

This long forced break and the loss of the "stage" Bundesliga was probably also one of the reasons why Theo Schröder stayed with the Eimsbüttel TV and this season - with great success - storms for the first team in the Landesliga. In his 17 missions, he always belonged to the starting line -up and only did not hit twice. Among other things, he laced five triple packs and was even successful in a game.

With a total of 31 goals of the season, he had a direct part in his first senior season that the ETV won 17 out of 18 season games and has long since been a master and promoted in the Oberliga Hamburg. Two game days before the end of the season, the lead ahead of Eintracht Lokstedt and Ahrensburger TSV is 17 points. In the two remaining games, the brand of 100 goals should be cracked if possible. The team is currently with 91 goals.

"Before the start of the season, I decided to score as many goals as possible and thereby draw attention," explains Theo Schröder: "But I couldn't expect that it would work so well for the team and for me personally." He describes his sporting strengths as follows: "I would say that I am ice cold in the end and only take out a few chances." Typical goal scorer.

Extra shifts in the "Home Gym"

Schröder has his sporting goals for this season, who already reaches one or the other extra layer in the "Gym" home to work on fitness almost every day. And thanks to his outstanding goal quota, the hoped -for attention was not long in coming. One or the other request from higher -class clubs is already available, the dream of a possible leap into professional football lives.

"There has not yet been a final decision, but it may well be that I accept an offer and try it in a higher league," says Theo Schröder. "After all, every soccer player wants to play as high as possible and later I don't want to blame myself for not trying to have tried."

parallels to Harry Kane: blond hair and risk of scoring

Blondschopf Schröder, who even admires the Bundesliga superstars Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland, but is more compared by his teammates with England's striker Harry Kane ("probably because of the hair color"), would not only like to get up, but also Say goodbye to everyone from Eimsbüttel with the goal scorer cannon.

"I think that amateur footballers can also win such a trophy very well," he praises the campaign that the specialist magazine Theo and fussball.de in cooperation with Volkswagen: "On the one hand, it spurs on each individual, even more, On the other hand, it gives amateur football additional attention that he deserves. "

However, he realistically assesses his chances of staying at the top until the end of the season. "Since we only have two games, it will be difficult for me," he says: "But of course I will give everything to score one or the other hits and make it as difficult as possible for my persecutors."

After all, it would be something very special if two goal scorer cannons should go to players of the Eimsbütteler TV. Hannah Paulini already has the title firmly in view, Theo Schröder wants to follow her.
