The CyberPunk 2077 no longer any kind options

The personalization menus of the characters in the next open world RPG cyberpunk 2077 will not include option to choose a sex, according to a recent interview with Marthe Jonkers, conceptual artist of the game.

CD Projekt Red has already expressed its interest to let players create trans or non-binary characters in cyberpunk 2077 but the studio has also been controversial about advertising in the game that seemed to be a transgender woman.

Jonkers entrusted Metro GameCentral that CD Projekt Red really wants to create a really inclusive video game. Thus, when the developer team received critics on gender options for customizing the character who are not sufficiently inclusive, developers have made a change.

For example, you do not choose your sex anymore, said Jonkers. You do not choose: I want to be a female or masculine character , you now choose a type of body. Because we want you to create the character of your choice.

So you choose your body type and we have two voices, one that sounds male sex, the other is female, said Jonkers. You can mix and match. You can simply connect them as you want. And then we have a lot of skin tones, tattoos and extra hairstyles. So we really want to give people the freedom to create their own character and play as they want.
