The Builder Web app from Battlefield Portal has just gone live early
Battlefield 2042 will not be released as Early Access in the next two days, but the online builder web app for its creative sandbox mode, portal, has gone live prematurely for all players. The online creation tool was presented last week in a blog post and gives the players looking at all sliders and options available to them to create their own modes.
Now Builder has gone live for all players, completely unannounced by EA or DICE. This gives players an early opportunity to create their own Battlefield portal experiences. Conquest on a revised Battlefield 3 card, but only with repair tools? A 128 player for all? You can create everything in the Battlefield Portal (except natural for a traditional Battle Royale), and you can immediately start to create, save and share your creations.
The early publication of the Creator tool was an unannounced surprise, but makes sense. Those who desperately have been waiting to make their own ridiculous game or retrospective experiences now have the opportunity to do this before the first publication on Friday.
The Battlefield community giving access to all these tools and newly mastered assets from previous games will certainly lead to some incredible creations.
With so many elements of the gameplay that is to optimize and modify, the variety of modes means that it will probably have a long service life, even if the modes All-out Warfare and Hazard Zone are outdated in Battlefield 2042.
